He first arrived in Bardou in the early 1970s and returned often in the years that followed. Though never a formal helper, Gerald offered steady encouragement and support during Bardou’s early days. His deep artistic roots and remarkable family history brought a thoughtful presence to the village. Some say that The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy may even have been written here. Gerald’s Hut remains a peaceful and memorable part of Bardou’s story.
